First appointment /T1
T1 is a term that only exists with Dr Leu and his teams at the Dr Leu Group.
For our patients, T1 is the first appointment with a dentist in a long time.
Everyone can be sure:
- Dr Leu wants to help me
- Dr Leu can help me
- Dr Leu wants to do me good
Dr Leu will not
- insult me,
- insult me,
- reprimand me
Most of our patients are often under a great deal of tension for days prior to T1.
Dr Leu's task is to release this tension.
It is again important to ensure the patient that nothing happens that they do not want to happen.
For example, a patient may not want to show their teeth to anyone. Dr Leu will not persuade the patient.
For example, a patient may not want to look at their T1 photos. Dr Leu will not persuade the patient.
For example, a patient may not want to have an X-ray. Dr Leu will not persuade the patient.
It is now necessary to reconcile the different treatment options with the patient's wishes in the T1 discussion.
The primary goal of individualised treatment planning is to consistently avoid all post-operative risks. The patient must be reassured: Afterwards, everything is over!
You learn a lot at T1. Because the patient may not remember everything, we will call him at least twice a few days after T1. Dr Leu will also call the patient again. We explain which of our specialists should be involved in the treatment, in which city the treatment (T2) could take place, which laboratory would be best for this case. .....
Once the treatment contracts have been signed, the patient can plan a provisional anaesthetic appointment with the anaesthetic planning team.
Dr Leu has trained five suitable colleagues for T1.
Dr Leu had introduced the idea of asking patients after T1 how the dentist was at T1. And lo and behold - some were better than Leu - but Leu caught up and overtook!
Although Dr Leu does not attend T1 in person, he is present at every T1 when a colleague takes over the T1 appointment with the patient - by telephone, TeamViewer, ZOOM, TEAMS, .....
