People who have lived without teeth for many years eventually want teeth again with which they can live, eat, and laugh normally. At the same time, many have a fervent desire for fast and effective treatment.
For these cases, the "Model Leu", has been developed.
It consists of:
• The removal of all teeth under general anaesthesia
• The placement of 4 to 6 implants in the lower jaw to ensure a stable fixation of a lower jaw prosthesis under the same general anaesthesia
• Placement of total prosthesis in the upper jaw
• Placement of prosthesis in the lower jaw, which is fixed on the implants
• The treatment is completed on the day of the surgery with the dental prosthesis - the patient goes home with his/her new teeth on the day of the intervention.
So, with "MODEL LEU" everything is finished in one day.
Immediate implantation avoids the automatic loss of bone, which begins immediately when teeth are removed. As soon as a tooth is extracted, the wound can be disinfected with ultra-modern technical equipment and the healing processes can be mobilised (ozone, laser, etc.) But as soon as a tooth is extracted, there is also a signal from the brain that the remaining bone is no longer needed. Correspondingly, a command is given to decompose the unused bone. We counteract this signal with immediate implantation. Today we know that we are grateful for every millimetre of bone because more bone means better fixation of the implants.
There is no palate in the lower jaw and therefore there is no aspiration effect. A total prosthesis can only be placed on the jaw ridge. But this would cause the prosthesis to wobble when eating and even when speaking.
That is why we place 4 to 6 implants under general anaesthesia, during which the teeth are removed. The prosthesis can now be placed on the implants like a plug-in system. This way the prosthesis in the lower jaw also has a perfect hold.
"Mrs. B. T2/T3 on 12.04.: She ran into the waiting room with her new teeth and, crying, fell on her husband's shoulder with the words: "IT IS OVER NOW!!! Then the husband also started to cry. Our assistant and I struggled with tears...
I think I remember that Mr. and Mrs. B. had had the dream of going on a cruise for many years. But this would have been a disaster due to the teeth. "And now THIS is possible too," as they say.
Mrs. S. T2/T3 on 11.05.: Mrs. S. didn’t want to look in the mirror at first ; she had to take a few deep breaths and then she was ready. She began to cry for joy and could not calm down for a long time. She was picked up by her sister-in-law, who was also very touched. The patient and her sister-in-law said goodbye to us giving us grateful hugs.
Mrs. R. T2/T3 on 11.05.: In the end, Mrs. R. couldn’t get enough of her new mirror image. The husband thanked us very much, too. As for him this result means a great relief and gain in quality of life.
Of course, this would not be possible without perfectly fitting implants, specialized dentists and anaesthetists and experienced dental technicians. But the well-organised and loving care provided by the whole team to our patients is no less important. “
